The Connecticut Dept. of Economic and Community Development Office of the Arts has joined with Connecticut Sea Grant to enhance its Arts Support Awards Program. Two awards, of up to $1000, will be awarded to an artist or group of artists through this competitive funding program. The deadline for applications is currently closed. Please check back for information about the 2020 award, which will be posted soon.
Winning submissions are selected on the basis of aesthetic quality, relevance to coastal and marine environments and Connecticut Sea Grant themes, as well as potential impact on non-traditional audiences.
Deadline: Applications were due by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2019.
Eligibility: Artists who live in Connecticut, or whose work is related to Connecticut’s coastal and marine environments or Long Island Sound. Note that awardees selected to receive DECD funds must be CT residents.
