Clayton McGoldrick a lab technician for Connecticut Sea Grant, and the mobile seaweed laboratory. He has been with the program since 2023. ​His focus area is in seaweed aquaculture, primarily focusing on nursery cultivation of kelp seed string. ​He earned a bachelor’s degree in marine sciences from Stony Brook University with a minor in geospatial sciences. He is also a Coast Guard licensed boat captain and a certified scuba diver.
