CTSG Research Coordinator Dr. Syma Ebbin administers CTSG’s research funding efforts. She is interim director of the Maritime Studies Program, and professor in residence in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. She teaches courses in environmental and marine science and policy and engages in applied social science research with specific focus on the institutional and human dimensions of marine and coastal systems. Her master’s research aimed to improve management of pink salmon; her doctoral research examined indigenous fisheries co-management in western Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. Currently, she is exploring the impacts of offshore wind energy on coastal communities.
