Team Resilience

Owen Placido is an assistant extension educator with Connecticut Sea Grant and the UConn Department of Extension. He has been with the program since 2023. ​He is focused on promoting nature-based approaches for climate adaptation, engaging community voices across the Connecticut coastline, and helping people find the resources they need to develop resilient communities.​ Owen holds a master’s degree in Biological and Environmental Sciences from the University of Rhode Island, where he studied wastewater treatment in coastal communities and science communication.
