Team Resilience

Owen Placido is an assistant extension educator with Connecticut Sea Grant and the UConn Department of Extension. He is focused on promoting nature-based approaches for climate adaptation, engaging community voices across the Connecticut coastline, and helping people find the resources they need to develop sustainable and resilient communities.  

Owen holds a master’s degree in Biological and Environmental Sciences from the University of Rhode Island, where he researched sustainable wastewater treatment in coastal communities and science communication and extension. He is located at the Avery Point Campus in Groton.
