Barrett featured on radio show on 2024 hurricane season

WNPR’s “Where We Live” program on June 11 featured CT Sea Grant Coastal Habitat Specialist  and Extension Educator Emerita Juliana Barrett talking about the 2024 hurricane season and preparedness.

The show, “Looking Ahead to the 2024 Hurricane Season,” responds to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s recent forecast for an above-normal Atlantic hurricane season.

Host Catherine Shen also interviewed Evan Lentz, assistant extension educator of fruit production and UConn Department of plant Science and Landscape Architecture at UConn and Rebecca Toms, communications coordinator for UConn Extension-Sustainable Food Systems, about agriculture and challenges from storms and climate change.
