The NOAA Sea Grant John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship application period is now closed, but Connecticut Sea Grant expects to open a new application cycle in the fall of 2018.
Established in 1979, the Knauss Fellowship provides a unique educational experience to graduate students who have an interest in ocean and coastal resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources.
The program matches highly qualified graduate students with hosts in the legislative and executive branches of government located in the Washington, D.C., area, for a one-year paid fellowship.
When the new cycle opens, Connecticut Sea Grant will accept applications from graduate students for a one-year period. The CTSG program provides $47,500 to each fellow for salary/stipend. An additional $14,000 is available for other allowable expenses, which include: fringe benefits, travel expenses for placement week, health insurance, moving expenses and academic- and fellowship-related travel costs.
