Avery Point EcoHusky Club to host Earth Day celebration

The public is invited to join students, faculty and UConn staff at the UConn Avery Point EcoHusky Club’s annual Earth Day Celebration from noon to 2 p.m. on Monday April 22.

Avery Point EcoHusky Club Earth Day Celebration flyerThe free event is held “to raise environmental awareness and foster appreciation of our planet Earth,” said Syma Ebbin, research coordinator for Connecticut Sea Grant and advisor to the EcoHusky club.

Connecticut Sea Grant and other groups and organizations will offer educational materials and activities during the event, which will take place outdoors on the campus. In case of inclement weather, it will be held indoors at the Student Center.

Food will be available and live music will be performed during the event.

The Avery Point campus is located at 1084 Shennecossett Road, Groton.
