About 100 people participated in the Thames River Quest on June 1, enjoying free water taxi rides between Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park and Thames Street in Groton and the Downtown Waterfront Park and Fort Trumbull State Park in New London, where each of the four legs of the treasure-hunt style educational hike were located.
Now in its second year, the Thames River Quest is sponsored by the Thames River Heritage Park, Connecticut Sea Grant and The Day Publishing Co. as part of Connecticut Trails Day. Those who missed the special Trails Day event can still do the self-guided Quests anytime. They can be downloaded at: https://www.thamesriverheritagepark.org/quests/.
