Funding announced for LIS community for estuary restoration

Image of estuary at sunsetThe Long Island Sound Community Impact Fund RFA is available and released on Sept. 27, 2023.

The purpose of LISCIF is to provide technical and financial assistance to environmental justice communities to address environmental issues and improve the quality and accessibility of the Long Island Sound.  The first round of funding set to be awarded next year will be $1.5 million, awarding 15-30 organizations, from grant sizes $5,000 – $100,000.
