Long Island Sound Mentor Teacher program seeks applicants

Long Island Sound Mentor Teacher flierDo you teach about Long Island Sound, watersheds, and/or the ocean in your classroom? Would you like to help others do the same? We’d love to have you as part of our team!

Now in its 24th year, the Connecticut Long Island Sound Mentor Teacher (LISMT) program is seeking two teams of teachers to provide a professional learning workshop for their peers.

Each team will plan and coordinate a one-day professional learning session for their peers. Workshops must take place in Connecticut. Funding is available for each team to provide an outdoor component as part of the session. Each teacher will receive a stipend of $40.00/hour for 35 hours = $1400/teacher to plan, coordinate and implement the session as well as funds to purchase resources for the workshop.
