Public input sought for LIS management plan revision

The Long Island Sound Comprehensive Conservation Management Plan (CCMP) revision process is currently underway. If you live, work, or play in the Long Island Sound region, this plan could affect on-the-ground projects near you. If there are environmental challenges in your life and community that you want to make sure are addressed, let us know! This is YOUR opportunity to help steer conservation funding decisions for the next 10 years.

The project is led by the Long Island Sound Study, a partnership of CT Sea Grant, NY Sea Grant, the EPA and other groups to restore and protect the Sound. The CCMP revision process is collaborative and will include public meetings where you can help shape what the plan will look like. Public meetings will take place on May 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven.

You can also attend virtual sessions on May 11 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.; May 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.; and from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Registration and more information can be found here.

Join us at those meetings to hear our plans so far and tell us what is important to you!
