As the Long Island Sound Partnership celebrates 40 years of progress in stewardship and management of the Sound, articles in the magazine explore plans to keep the momentum going, some of the special places designated as Stewardship Areas, and how public perceptions have changed.

A new device for communicating about the underwater environment of the Sound is showcased, as well as the life and legacy of former CT Sea Grant Director Edward Monahan. Outgoing Associate Director Nancy Balcom and her successor, Jess Brandt, weigh in on their reflections and aspirations for their work at CT Sea Grant.
