Judy Preston receives Garden Club of America award

Judy Preston, Long Island Sound outreach coordinator for Connecticut Sea Grant, received the Coastal Zone Conservation award from the Garden Club of America on April 30.

The Fairfield Garden Club and the Stonington Garden Club sponsored the award. Preston was also accepted into the national Garden Club of America Speakers List.

The award citation reads: “For her critical public education skills in identifying key elements of the coastal landscape and how gardening practices can protect, conserve and enhance water quality.”
