Titled “American Fishermen Need a Little Kelp,” a new video published by The Huffington Post features UConn Prof. Charles Yarish, who has been supported by Connecticut Sea Grant over three decades on projects to foster seaweed farming in Long Island Sound.

A brief promotion of the video reads: “Some say it’s the new kale. Kelp boasts a ton of nutritional value, requires very little resources to grow and can be used as biofuel. The U.S. kelp industry is small at the moment but is working to expand it’s kelp harvesting.”
