Federal funding for projects that protect shorelines using natural materials and environmentally friendly designs could soon be available to coastal communities through legislation introduced June 19 by Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy and California Sen. Kamala Harris.
Projects to advance knowledge of LIS water quality, marine life

‘Unfiltered’ exhibit now at Avery Point showcases images of water
Selected paintings, photographs and other works from “Unfiltered: An Exhibition about Water,” are on display through early May at the Branford House at UConn Avery Point. The exhibit is a collaboration of several UConn departments and programs, including Connecticut Sea Grant.
