Connecticut Sea Grant Arts Support Awards Program
Connecticut Sea Grant, through its competitive funding program the Arts Support Awards Program, will award up to $1000 to an artist or group of artists. The winning submission will be selected on the basis of aesthetic quality, relevance to coastal and marine environments and Connecticut Sea Grant themes, as well as its potential impact on non-traditional audiences.

2023 Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship open for applications
The NOAA Sea Grant John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship application period is now open. The submission deadline is 5 p.m. (ET) Feb, 18, 2022. The Knauss Fellowship provides a unique educational experience to graduate students who have an interest in ocean and coastal resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources.
Paper highlights copepod response to warming, acidification
Findings from CTSG-supported research are the subject of a new article in Nature Climate Change that looks at the response of marine animal populations to climate change, specifically copepods.
Project will help strengthen state’s shellfish industry
Connecticut Sea Grant has been awarded a $196,990 federal grant to lead a project designed to further the recovery of Connecticut’s shellfish industry from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and position it to be more resilient in the future.

Key questions about environmental contaminants to be addressed by CTSG, partners
Connecticut Sea Grant, in partnership with the New Hampshire and North Carolina Sea Grant programs and Lighthouse Consulting Group, has been awarded an $850,000 federal grant to help unravel the complex problem of contaminants of emerging concern, or CECs, in coastal and freshwater environments.
