LIS research jointly administered by CT, NY Sea Grant programs

CT Sea Grant and NY Sea Grant administer the Long Island Sound Study extra-mural research program. The intent of this program is to fund research that will support the science-based management of Long Island Sound and its resources, and the implementation of the LISS Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan. The 2023-25 competition is closed. The next Call will be released in 2024.

Fact sheets help local leaders navigate climate change questions

Questions poured in by the dozen after the morning session of the 2015 Adapt CT legal workshop—six pages worth, in fact. That was the beginning of a CTSG-RI Sea Grant Legal Program partnership that led to the “Legal Issues in the Age of Climate Adaptation” fact sheet series.

2022 Coastal Perspectives Lecture Series announced

The 26th annual Coastal Perspective Lecture Series begins Feb. 8 and continues every other Tuesday through April 19. This lecture series spans the breadth of human interactions with coastal waters, including speakers from the natural and social sciences as well as arts and humanities.
