National Estuarine Reserve celebration set for May 21

UConn is joining with partners at the local, federal and state levels including CT Sea Grant to celebrate the establishment of the Connecticut National Estuarine Research Reserve. The event will take place at 11 a.m. on May 21 at the Avery Point campus, where the CT NERR will be headquartered.

Connecticut Sea Grant Annual Report 2021 available

Connecticut Sea Grant’s 2021 Annual Report is now available as a downloadable pdf. It offers highlights of CTSG’s accomplishments for the 2020-21 Sea Grant fiscal year, which runs from February 2020 through January 2021.

2022 Coastal Perspectives Lecture Series announced

The 26th annual Coastal Perspective Lecture Series begins Feb. 8 and continues every other Tuesday through April 19. This lecture series spans the breadth of human interactions with coastal waters, including speakers from the natural and social sciences as well as arts and humanities.
