Connecticut Sea Grant Annual Report 2021 available

Connecticut Sea Grant’s 2021 Annual Report is now available as a downloadable pdf. It offers highlights of CTSG’s accomplishments for the 2020-21 Sea Grant fiscal year, which runs from February 2020 through January 2021.

Marine life, human-sea interactions to be explored by researchers

Six research projects exploring various facets of Long Island Sound and the wider marine environment have been selected by CTSG for the 2022-2024 funding cycle. Four will focus on marine life amid changing environmental conditions. One will look at community behaviors in response to flood risks, while the sixth will focus on human relationships with the ocean.

Project will help strengthen state’s shellfish industry

Connecticut Sea Grant has been awarded a $196,990 federal grant to lead a project designed to further the recovery of Connecticut’s shellfish industry from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and position it to be more resilient in the future.

Gov. Lamont signs legislation supporting continued growth of CT’s shellfish industry

Gov. Lamont  joined legislators, state officials, agricultural advocates and business representatives for a bill signing ceremony to commemorate the enactment of legislation implementing policies that will support continued growth of Connecticut’s shellfish industry.
